Frank smiled his sly smile that he knew that the ladies loved, at least the younger ones. He knew from experience that the older ladies had more of a keen sense to see who was not good for their interests even though he had conned a good number of lonely older women. In truth, the younger ones were only slightly dumber, he thought as he wondered if his sister had gotten an invitation to such a party as for now they had separated and were working in different crowds. Then he began his web of deceit. 

“I am quite well, Miss Ennington. The hustle and bustle with the British is very interesting. It has been quite an experience here”, he replied confidently while not trying to lay his words on too thickly lest she discover him a fraud.
