Ellie smiled brightly; she loved to sing and relished the fact that her voice was appreciated by someone else, especially someone as refined as Miss Catherine. She was about to launch into a blather about how much freedom Christine gave her for a domestic, but was brought up short by memory of the recent rebuke that was being 'too much'...
