Tristan was silent for a moment, his eyebrows moving up. "I was going to examine you, remember?"

"Yes. You were." Anthony was still very nervous and fidgety, but now he was focusing more on making this as hard as possible for the doctor, instead of focusing on himself.

"Which is why I'm asking you questions..." he explained as calmly as he could.

"Uh-uh. Yes, I understand." Anthony spoke as if he had no idea what this was leading up to. That was kind of true.

"So..." he continued, hoping that he could continue his examination with ease now. "Do you drink?"

He still didn't quite understand why that question needed to be asked, but ok. "Sometimes," he answered.

Tristan nodded. "When was the last time you drank, and how much do you usually drink at a time?"

Anthony averted his gaze for a moment, thinking. "I don't know. I don't think about those things."

"But surely you remember when you last drank?" Tristan encouraged.

Not really. "Earlier this week sometime." Seemed accurate enough.
